Dakota Michaels is the Founder, CEO and Executive CD of Soft Sky Labs. Mr. Michaels is also the Founder and Deputy Director of DMI (Defensive Measures Intelligence Agency ) and Owner of The Beautiful Mind Company. Dakota went to UCLA Film School, & The UCLA extension program, training and studying with Hollywoods most famous filmmakers. Mr. Michaels was recruited which directed his life in the field of solving crimes, mysteries and becoming one of the most prolific investigators and security professionals in the world today. Mr. Michaels’s love for filmmaking, science, technology, & Storytelling led to starting Soft Sky Labs.

Samuel Watson

Director of Photography

Samuel (SJ) Watson has been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. Samuel went to UCLA Film school with a BA in Film & Television Production. Samuel started working on movie sets as a grip first before he landed his first camera operator gig. He then went on to director of photography on Films, Television shows, and Commercials, Sam has a long history of making films look better through his unique way of lighting.

James Kempner II

Director of Sales

James Michael Kempner II was born and raised in Orange County, California. His father Jim Kempner was the founder and CEO of several legendary record labels. Through that unique life growing up, James found a love for music and by age 19 found success in the music industry by becoming Director of A&R for a label in Hollywood.

Leslie Jones

Administrative Services Manager

Leslie studied got her B.S. in Business from Michigan State University. Originally from Northville a suburb of Detroit, Leslie has always had an entrepreneur mindset. Given her chance to work with Soft Sky Labs & Rocket Kid Studios was a dream come true for her. She brings not only her business savvy but her creativity as well. We are very lucky to have Leslie on board with us.
